Hubby wasn't feeling well. He called me from work and asked what cough medicines we had in the medicine cabinet. There were a few. Easiest thing to do? Take a photo and send it to him!

Her Old Self Again (122/365)
Petite stayed home today after yesterday's and last night's fever. The fever seemed to spike around 4 or 5 a.m. but by 6:30 we had a normal temperature reading for her. She'd been up a few times during the night; none of us slept incredibly well. After talking to her caregiver, who expressed a desire for me to ensure that Petite was indeed well again and it wasn't just a temporary lull, only to see the fever spike again later in the day, I opted to stay home and care for her.
At some point in the morning, Petite recalled the fun she had in the bath yesterday. She looked up at me in all seriousness and remarked, "Mommy, I so dirty. I need take a bath," accompanied by a fervent nod and a grin. "Oh, you're dirty are you?" I inquired, knowing she simply wanted to play. "Yep. I so so so so dirty. Come Mommy." She tugged at my hand. "Come make bath for me. I so dirty."
I laughed.
And then I ran the bath for her. She was in there for almost an hour solid; her fingers looked like shrivelled up grapes, so wrinkly was her soft skin!
I'm glad she's back to her old self again though.

The Plague Returns (121/365)
Petite was especially clingy this morning. But I took her to daycare assuming it was just one of those 'Mommy-I-don't-wanna-get-up' days. At daycare I had to hand her off to the caregiver; she was just sooo tired. In my car on the way to work, the caregiver called me: she thought Petite was warm and checked her temp. It came in at 100.3. I continued on my way and told her to keep me posted please, that I would pick her up if needs be.
That was at 8:05. At 9:15 the caregiver called: her temp was up to 101.2. Crap. I rearranged things and left to pick her up. She dozed in the car on the way home, and upon arriving at home, I handed a somewhat sleepy girl off to Hubby, and I turned to go back out to get the rest of our things from the car. When I opened the front door the second time, I was met with Hubby's voice, "She just threw up." Oh lovely.
And thus began the day/night of fever, worry and unease. Her fever spiked at 103.7, and I insisted she sleep in our bed (which, by the way, isn't all that comfortable with two adults, a feverish toddler and two cats sprawled horizontally, and who refuse to move for love nor money!). We plied her with Tylenol as directed on the bottle, watching her temp and trying to bring down the fever. She did enjoy a bath later in the day to freshen up and she had a Mr. Freeze or three to comfort her. She napped a bit. But most of her day was just spent snuggled in our bed, sorta like this picture illustrates. It wasn't a fun day. That's for sure.

Dear Sweet Lord... (87/365)
I'm more miserable today than yesterday. I stayed home.
Petite stayed home again too. But unfortunately she refused to nap. I HAD to lie down, so I put her in her bedroom to play. She happily did so.
And about 30 or 40 mins later, I was startled awake by a shout...
"Mommy, help! I'm upside down!"
I run to her room, where I'm greeted by this:
I sat down and cried. After which I texted Hubby this photo.
He came home from work to relieve me and I gratefully crawled back in bed.
I beg that the pox/plague be done soon please.
