Massacre

The city told us they needed to "trim" our hedge to repave the path beside our house.

This is what we have now.

I am NOT PLEASED.

Hot Air Balloon?

The temp this morning was -10 on the ground. Can you imagine what it was up in the sky?? Brrrrr!

Last Tastes

This is the last loaf of bread and the last of the partridgeberry jam that Aunt Bertie had given me. It kills me to finish it, but I wouldn't let it go to waste. Love you Aunt Bertie. Oh how I wish I had your recipes.

Après Shopping Siesta

In the car on the way home she couldn't hold up anymore. This is how I found her when I went to unlatch her.

Santa Claus Parade

Waiting for Santa. And being filmed by a TV station as Santa passes by. She was totally impressed and loved every moment.

Scarves by Mom

Mom's done some gorgeous scarves for me. I have such a lovely selection of them, and I am thankful for each and every one.

My Munchkin

Tonight after her bath, she was happy and giggly and running around, despite the beginnings of a cold.

Winter Tires

Seeing as we just bought a new vehicle, now we're looking for winter tires. I took this pic to keep the tire size handy; never know when you're going to spot a deal!

Lest We Forget

The War Memorial
Ottawa, Canada

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Taken between 8:45 and 9:15 tonight, to remember those who have so bravely fought for the freedoms we enjoy. We shall remember them.

PMS

There are just some months that REQUIRE chocolate.

This is one of them.

Admittedly, I didn't eat the full pan of brownies; I had my girlfriend and her daughter over for dinner and this was dessert. I was happy to devour three of them though.

I HATE PMS. That is all.

Out!

A friend of mine was in town for a conference and Hubby was able to change his shift. Yay!

Cue the shoes and shopping, followed by dinner at The Works. Yum!

Thanks for the fun Dee Dee!

Balloons for a Birthday

Today would have been my aunt's 78th birthday.

Trinity and I released three balloons; one from each of us, to mark her day. We hope they found their way to heaven and that she smiled down on us, even for a few moments. We just wanted to tell her how much we love her, and how much we miss her.

Every single day.

Happy Birthday Aunt Bertie.

On our way to the park; Trinity holds her own balloons.

Trinity had picked a blue and purple one for Aunt Bertie.
I chose the yellow one with flowers and dragonflies.

The blue one was blank; I wrote a message on it.

Trinity wrote her name (with a little help)
to show Aunt Bertie how well she can write now!

Ready...
Set...

Go!

Wow!

The yellow balloon floats up high.

All three balloons on their way up to the skies.
